About The NFL Chick
I’m a lady that loves pumps and pigskin equally. A Baltimore Native, HUGE Ravens fan and a Philip Rivers apologist is what I represent. I worked for the Ravens during the 2007 and 2008 seasons as an audio assistant in the Rave TV Department. I also worked as a weekend producer with WBAL radio from 2008-2010, assisting with the Ravens Postgame programming.
I decided to display my love for my team as well as the sport of football by launching thenflchick.com in 2008. I’m also the co-founder of gridirongals.com, a website created so that women of all 32 teams could write about their love for their favorite team. I’ve been a guest of various media outlets, including Inside PressBox, The Rob Long Show and the Big Sis & Company Show.
Football is something I’m passionate about and love to share my thoughts/comments on. Hopefully you’ll either learn something or laugh when reading my blog. I just like to make people smile. To sum it up… I think I’m pretty awesome at this football thing!

Hey
I’ve been reading your site for a while now and I really like it. You’re doing some good stuff here. I was wondering if you’d like to help me out with my site. It’s only a few months old and we’re trying to diversify a bit more. For the most part we’ve only been covering movies and music with a bit of sports here and there. We’d like to do more sports content though. Would you be interested in contributing?

I recently came across your blog, which I found interesting. My name is John Spinda, I am an Assistant Professor at Murray State University. I am currently conducting research on female NFL fans through an online questionnaire.
I believe that I would obtain better feedback from online fans around the country than from a group of captive college students. I am contacting you specifically, because I am attempting to ensure an accurate representation of female NFL fans.
Therefore, I’d like to ask you to assist this project by providing a link to my online questionnaire and simply mentioning this study on your blog. Please understand that this is non-profit, academic research that will be used things like journal articles, book chapters, and conference presentations. Please feel free to browse the questionnaire yourself (its brief, I promise). I would genuinely appreciate your support and want to thank you for your time. Please feel free to contact me with any questions. Of course, I would also be happy to share any results I obtain with you as well.
Here is a link to my study:

Thanks again.

Left a comment on one of your articles…Curious as to why you have issues with Rivers? He is about the best QB in the league right now,,,,doing that without his A players and a true leader. I don’t get why people have issues with him, except for the spin that the media put on him back in the Cutler days….
Just curious…..Maybe it’s an east coast west coast thing?

I have continued to browse your site, and obviously misinterpreted what you meant by apologist. I see you’re a Rivers fan, not foe. As you can tell I too am a huge Rivers and Charger fan, and get tired of people bagging on him, sorry if I offended you. Keep up the great work!

I know where ur comin from Lisa. I didn’t know what “apologist” meant for sure either- Bein new to the site I’d probly think it was a dis on Philip too. That NFL chick is just too damn smart for us- but we luv her ne way!!
November 9th, 2010 at 9:24 AM
LOL sorry ladies if I gave the wrong impression. I’m one of his biggest supporters. There’s no QB better in the league right now than him, in my opinion. I have a post coming up close to his birthday, I think you’ll like!!!

Can’t wait…..I’ll be watching for it !! I agree, he is the best. Can’t believe he has been doing it all without his starters, that says a lot. Heard last night that he is on pace to beat Dan Marino’s record. I hope he can lead the Chargers to win the AFC West again, as they have their work cut out for them. You don’t want to get me started on the Chargers, as that’s another story

So nice to know you still bring a smile to my face:)You will never be forgotten. I’m smart, but not a technical person. Something happened to my acct. and I just went away from it. I continue to spread the word about Gridiron Gals down here. Something to me about a woman in a jersey is sexy.
November 23rd, 2010 at 12:22 PM
GEORGE! How are you? We’ve been wondering what happened to you! Hope everything is well!
November 23rd, 2010 at 6:06 PM
Hey Miss Reeta! I’m very well. I have much love and deep respect for all the Gridiron Gals. I think about everyone often.Every time Ray Rice runs or Philip Rivers throws a pass, thoughts of you flash through my head.

Hi!
I love your site! I am a Denver Broncos fan so I really hope Champ stays here, we can’t afford any more losses!
Anyway I work in affiliation with a company that produces underwater strength training and rehab equipment that have been used by several NFL teams (names can be given over email) and would love to talk to you about getting involved with your site.
Please get in touch and keep the news coming!
Thanks,
Vanessa

Hello and good day to you,
My name is Karen and I work for MediaSerps.
I am interested in placing a text link for one of my clients that will be located on the homepage of thenflchick.com.
The rate that we extend for this suggestion is $200 per year and I will have it renewed after a year as a compromise.
If you agree, I will send you a snap-shot so you can have an idea on how this placement would look like.
Is it possible to run this type of placement on your site? I’ll be sending the payment through Paypal.
Hope to hear from you soon.
Thanks and best regards,
Karen Collins
