The NFLPA doesn't want a lockout and they've shown their passion for a solution time and time again. This time, though, the they've gone to Ustream.NFLPA spokesman George Atallah and former players Nolan Harrison and Scottie Graham went live yesterday to talk about the current state of the league, how it affects current rosters and contracts and even discussed how retired players are a part of this new deal as well. The guys made sure they didn't say anything that could be held as leverage for the negotiations during the hour-long vid. They answered questions via Twitter and Harrison along with Graham also talked about how the current negotiations affects them as well. The one thing I hope doesn't get lost in these negotiations are the players that have paved the way for the guys currently in the league. I will never forget a Sports Illustrated story about Johnny Unitas, who was on the cover, telling the magazine he only received $3,000 per month in pension from the league. One of the greatest players to ever play the game receiving that little bit of money was a slap in the face to me. Something's gotta change. Hopefully, the owners and players will get it right and make it fair and get ready for football in 2011 and beyond.
